Mini Outdoor Sessions

I am offering mini sessions at one of my favorite locations-Unity Village.  Acres of gorgeous Mediterranean architecture, fountains, stone, flowers.  $30 for a 20 minute session featuring your child (limit is two children), with one complimentary 5×7 of your choice and no obligations.  (Sorry, no family portraits other than a quick candid or two due to time restraints).  Those of you that have had portrait sessions with me, KNOW what we can do with 20 minutes!  If you haven’t had a session yet, this is the perfect time to get a taste of what I can do with children’s portraits.  I’m thinking we’ll end up with about 10 shots per session.

Sessions will start booking at 8:00 am on August 16th, 2008.  Call 816-295-1233 to schedule or email me at capturesintime@comcast.net.

Scheduling

Session slots of the rest of the year are filling up fast!  I don’t have any weekends left in October (Tiny Toes and repeat customers I can squeeze in there).  I know lots of people want to stay out of the heat in July and August, but outdoor sessions are scheduled in the early morning or evening, so it’s bearable.  I am primarily on-location, which means I come to you, all you have to do is open the door and I set up my mini-studio in your home.  No driving, no heat for you!  I still have a couple openings on the weekend for September.

My deadlines are about the same as last year.  November 15th is the last day I will be doing portrait sessions for the holiday.   I plan to have all proofs online by November 29th and all orders must be placed by December 6th to get prints back by Christmas.   I will have a gorgeous selection of Christmas cards to choose from this year.

Just the perfect time for a newborn session, because they will only curl up like this for a short time.  She did so well, little Miss M-.  How she slept through all the laughing at daddy’s funnies, I will never know!  What a sweet little cutie.

This, for those of you who haven’t met him, is my hubby.  I would like to sincerely thank him for being so supportive.   (Although he threatens to go into competition and open “Captures by Chris”, since it seems that sometimes the town is being overun by photographers.)  I digress.

I know on weekends, sometimes he would rather be doing something like this than being the sole entertainment for our two little boys under three years of age from 12pm-10pm while I am shooting a wedding.  (This is not his toy, BTW, it is my brothers.  I try to discourage anything motorized that he can ride.)

Anyway, thank you, C-.  Thank you for buying me my first little DSLR.  Thanks for being the unseen element behind my little “Captures in Time” dream and thanks for being such a great daddy.
