Welcome to the blog

Monthly Archives: April 2011

I have quite a few clients ask me why I don’t do pet sessions.   My thinking was that there are so many photographers that offer pet sessions around KC and my niche is babies and that is where I want to focus.  Then I got to thinking, a friend of mine reminded me that her dogs ARE her babies.  I have decided that Kansas City could benefit from a photographer who can provide  “fine art pet portraiture”, so much of what I see looks more like a snapshot in a park than something special.

Take a look at these dogs I’ve had in the studio lately:  Little Peaches reminds me of Oprah’s Cocker Spaniel.  She is a great big ball of fluff!  Chipper has the biggest and kindest brown eyes, he is like a great big teddy bear.

Check out our booth at Pooches On The Parkway, a fundraiser for the off-leash dog park in Blue Springs at May 15th at Young Park, adjacent to Blue Springs South High School.  The event will be from 11:00 am- 4:00 pm.   I will be offering complimentary Facebook images of your pooch!

I am a bit behind on blogging.  Check out this big, brown eyes!  This little guy is at that age where he is on the move as fast and his little legs can crawl.  He was just as happy as a clam for his session.  I’m so glad to finally meet you all and thanks so much for bringing him to me!

The blog is finally getting caught up, the studio has been busy the last couple of weeks and I am just ordering prints like crazy.  Spring is booking up nicely for indoor and outdoor sessions.

This is the second time this family has driven quite a ways for a session with me.  This time, a new little face has joined them.  This little lip in the first shot below is so adorable.  You can tell they are quite the little buddies for each other.  Thanks so much for bringing them!

I never get tired of pink, probably because the only person I can shop for pink for is myself.  I LOVE pink and brown together.   I could just squeeze her cheeks, little A- is so much fun to photograph.  I don’t know how you all every put her down!
