After a few weeks of vacation, I am back to business. I’ve been busy with shoots and projects that I can’t share on the blog, so here is a little something.

I have always thought that some of the best parts of a big occassion are the little things leading up to it. Here are some highlights from Lauren & Matt’s wedding. Takes a couple of minutes to load the executable, completely safe, I promise. Grab a cup of coffee and take part in 12 minutes of their happy day. Enjoy!

What can I tell you about Justin and Danielle?  They just have a very sweet way with each other.   Their wedding was simply simpatico from the start.  The two were just happy to be getting married and you could see that, the day just felt “serene”.   Even when a thunderstorm rolled in while we were shooting formals or the little ring pillow was MIA for a bit, it was just a very happy day.

Danielle made their tiered cake herself, she decorated it the morning of the wedding.  It was gorgeous and very, very tasty (I have had lots of cake, this one was seriously yummy).  The reception held lots of moves, I don’t think Danielle and Justin left the dance floor for more than a minute.

Here are a few of my favorites.  Congratulations and thank you so much for choosing me to capture your day.

My clients are really fun people.  Driving home from Lauren & Matt’s wedding last night, I thought, “That was really, really fun.”  Who thinks that on their way home from work?  And who gets to have cake and chocolate covered strawberries while they work?  Seriously, best job ever.  There are many hours of editing after the fun day, but really, I couldn’t ask to do something I love more.

Unity Temple was buzzing with weddings yesterday.  Funny story for you.  I was in the chapel in which Lauren and Matt were getting married in.   The groomsmen from another wedding were hanging out in there because their chapel was much hotter.  I asked them where their getting ready room was and said I would be up in a bit.  So one of them says, “What for?”  and they laugh.  I reply, “Getting ready portraits?”   Glad I got that straightened out right away.  Lauren looked amazing, the wedding was peppered with gorgeous summer flowers and the music was upbeat.

There is always a “gulp” part of the wedding that gets me a little teary.  At this one, it was the moment when Lauren said, “I have loved you since the first time I met you, I have always loved you.”  Sorry, if I am misquoting, it was something along those lines.

Of course, I have lots of traditional shots, but this couple wanted a little quirky as well.  Congratulations, you two!  Thank you for choosing me to photograph your wedding, much appreciation!

“No sooner met but they looked;
no sooner looked but they loved;
no sooner loved but they sighed;
no sooner sighed but they asked one another the reason;
no sooner knew the reason but they sought the remedy;
and in these degrees have they made a pair of stairs to marriage”
-William Shakespear

Aren’t they a gorgeous couple?  Click on image to take a peek into their engagement session, it’s a safe little executable, I promise you.

Carly and Ryan are the sweetest couple.  I loved that they choose locations that had meaning to them.  Sweet light, a little retro and classic architecture.  She is going to be one amazing bride,  just classic pretty!  Image overload, but they have been planning hard.  I think weddings deserve a little extra blog love!  A heartfelt  “thank you”  for choosing me to be a part of your wedding crew!  Can’t wait!
