Leah + Michael – Country Wedding – Kansas City Wedding Photographer
“Capturing Bliss” is the wedding and event side of “Captures in Time Photography”. I’d like to take a minute to tell you a story about Leah and Michael’s wedding day.
Meeting Leah and her mother for the first time, I knew that this was going to be fun. They giggled just as much as I do, if not more. Click! Driving up to the farm the evening of the rehearsal, the sky was as blue as the cornflower crayon in a crayola box, peppered the fluffy kind of white clouds. The only thing that would make these scene less than perfect was the 50 mile an hour wind that was knocking the breath out of us. The preparations went on, good laughs, great food, everything was coming together.
The morning of the wedding, the weather started out much like the night before. More giggles and “ooo’s and ah’s” over perfect curles and lashes and how gorgeous the bride was. Leah surprised Michael and tapped him on the shoulder. His eyes were big and he got this huge smile on his face. It was a great moment. We all drove off to some nearby locations for the wedding party.
As the time of the ceremony drew closer, the winds grew calmer and it felt like a new day. At 6pm, the weather was perfect. The Arbor, hand built by Michael, overlooked the rolling hills of the country. Norah Jones was playing as Leah walked down the isle.
A country wedding with all of the class of a country club…with the fresh air and clear sky and stars. Here’s the story of their wedding day in images.
