Red & Aqua Colors in Family Shoot

I saw this adorable family last year for a family session and it was so nice to see them again.  It’s amazing how much kids can grow in a year.  I think it’s great when mom and dad are up for some poses of them together because for most people it has been a while {maybe even the wedding}!

Pulling Colors into Outfits in the Accessories

For the family color scheme, mom dressed the smallest member in an aqua sweater over a red dress. Notice that mom is in an oatmeal sweater and she has pulled this color in with the little girl’s tights. Brother had on red, brown and grey. His brown tones were pulled into the little girl’s boots! Dad is the wildcard and that is ok because his blue sweater tone is similar to the color in everyone’s jeans. The checked shirt that he is wearing doesn’t “go” with anything and that’s ok because it’s not a huge pattern and it’s only “peeking” out of the sweater. It’s a cool little accent.

Can we just talk about how this pale aqua door across from the studio and the brick go with the outfits of these kids? I am in coordinated color love right here!
