Miles could not have been any cuter. Such a sweet little face. Check out his Christmas cookies in his newborn photos. He had so much dark hair and the prettiest skin tone. No jaundice and no baby flakes. That kind of never happens around here. He slept super soundly and was an angel to work with. Mom and dad were so photogenic as well. When I saw the image of him on mom’s shoulder below, I just swooned. So precious. I surely could never get tired of my job.

A Vision

Mom had this vision of using cookies and milk for a Christmas image, she wanted to do a Holiday card and birth announcement in one. Such a cute idea. She sent me an image from Pinterest and I immediately started thinking about how I could put my own twist on the idea. I liked the idea of shooting from above, almost like he was in his crib waiting for Santa. I thought about this antique cradle I have and went from there. This session got us all in the Christmas spirit. I came right home and started decorating for Christmas. I love getting to think outside the box with mom’s ideas to incorporate before sessions. This first image is my most “pinned” on Pinterest so far.

Sorry about the Chips Ahoy cookies that were used, Santa. At home, I promise we do better and you get the homemade stuff. It’s not that I’m lazy, I just felt like these cookies had more texture. And now, to bake 15 dozen cookies for the Christmas cookie exchange. 🙂
