Captures in Time Photography has been a cornerstone in Kansas City family, senior, and newborn photography since 2007.

DO YOU HAVE A STUDIO?

We do not have a dedicated space. Your home or just about any outdoor location is our studio.

DIDN'T YOU HAVE A STUDIO AT ONE TIME?

We did have a studio from 2010 to March, 2020. If you prefer a studio look, I can send you the names of several uber-talented studio photographers.

DO YOU OFFER NEWBORN SESSIONS?

I offer in-home newborn sessions that have a lifestyle feel. I bring two props of your choice for variety.

CAN I SHARE MY IMAGES ON FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM?

Yes! I will give you a print and web release for personal use for portrait images. With this release, you will be able to share them and print them. Please give credit to Captures in Time Photography under all images posted to social networking sites. Editing and using filters on images from any of our sessions is not allowed.

HOW DO I SCHEDULE MY NEWBORN PHOTO SESSION WHEN I DON'T KNOW WHEN HE OR SHE WILL BE BORN?

You will pre-pay your retainer to be guaranteed a slot when your baby arrives. From there, you will contact me with two days of baby's birth to "firm schedule' a day. You will have a choice of about 2-3 different mornings within the first three weeks after baby's birth.

WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE IF I AM PREGNANT

You will want to schedule by your second trimester. We only take a limited amount of sessions per month.

WHAT IF OUR OUTDOOR SESSION IS RAINED OUT?

We will reschedule your session as soon as the schedule and the weather will allow us.

 

WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?

I firmly believe images are not made by gear. That being said, I own the sharpest lenses I can find. I own a Canon 5D Mark III as my main camera and as a backup. My favorite lenses are the Canon 70-200m f/2.8L IS II, the Sigma Art 35mm 1.4, the Canon 50mm 1.2/L and the Canon 100mm f2.8/L.
