Kansas City four month photos
I loved the session so much. Kennedy came into the studio for her four month photos in our Kansas City studio and I was just so happy to see this little munchkin! Not just because I have known her mama forever. Her mom was actually my college roommate. We watched The Golden Girls nightly and usually she had a ready-made key-lime pie in the freezer. We had a super cute apartment, great neighbors, lots of girl time and we may have even learned a little bit in the process! It was definitely Three’s Company meets The Golden Girls on our second floor!
This little doll has the biggest eyes I have ever seen and they just catch the light like glass. I am absolutely loving my Canon 50mm lens. It is tack sharp! I am finding that prime lenses are my favorite as well as the biggest lighting source for a softbox.
Prime lenses are much sharper than zoom lenses. That is because they don’t have extra glass inside that moves in order to zoom. Apparently, too much glass is not necessarily a good thing. There is less diffraction (a term I remember from my optic career), which increases with more lens elements. See, you learned something today!
Kennedy sat perfectly still and studied the camera. I have never seen a 7-month-old do that! I love this little poncho on her in the third image. This girl is sure to be a fashionista, just like mama! Oh, the clothes that were piled in Amy’s room! That girl had clothes! I thought surely that she would major in fashion design or something.
