Dad Got Another Tattoo for New Baby | Kansas City

I have had an influx of military families in the studio lately and I just LOVE them.  I am honored that they come all the way out to the studio from Leavenworth for their sessions and really appreciate that and everything they do, each and every day.  You are all amazing. Bring your uniform, boots, tags, really anything you want to incorporate into your baby’s session. And if you have a bit of body art, you are free to take off your shirt to showcase it with your newborn.

This little guy is the first boy of the family and dad already has a little artwork in place for him.  🙂  I love the super vibrant color, it is so bright and it was a different look for newborn portraits. Really, the tattoos are a work of art, they did an amazing job on them. I’ve never seen a blue so bright before! The juxtaposition of the father’s skin with all of the color and the new baby skin was wonderful to photograph. I love to try new things in the studio and bring a client’s vision to life! We choose a black backdrop for the parent series just to make the color really pop and to keep things as simple as possible. Little guy was adorable in my elf hat and cozied up and, sleeping like a dream for most of the session.
