Part of being a Wedding Photographer is being able to provide wedding coverage for weddings in the country. I feels like I am a country girl at heart and  I adore being out in the middle of rolling hills and trees and love a small town feel. I have shot a couple of weddings out in the Lexington area and it is such a pretty little town.

The sun was shining brightly over the country church in Lexington and there was not a cloud in the sky.  Spencer had a friend who was a photo journalist that wanted to provide her “getting ready” images as a gift.  We started with their first look, which was such a sweet moment.  The church was packed with people, it seemed everyone in Lexington was there. We made a quick stop after the wedding to visit Garrett’s grandmother in the hospital. She wasn’t feeling like being in the images, but it was a touching part of the day.

The reception was full of laughter, music from a wonderful DJ and really awesome bank and there were lots of tiny bare feet padding across the dance floor.  I have never seen so many wedding cakes and matching cupcakes in all of my life.  Every one of their favorite sports teams had their own cake. As I look back, I realize that I was too busy to grab a slice!  Wedding cake is the best cake, but duty calls!

Spencer and Garrett, I so appreciate having the honor of documenting your wedding  day.  The ceremony, the happiness, and all of the laughs made it a memorable day for everyone.   May your lives together be as happy and joyous as your special day.
