First Year Baby Photo Plan Client Elliot

I so look forward to seeing the little baby planners in the studio! It’s like little friends coming to visit you after you haven’t seen them for a few months. Elliot was full of all kinds of expressions for his 12-month baby wrap up shoot in my Kansas City studio. I got to spend a few hours with this little doll at his newborn session, we also did a three-month and six-month session before the one-year session. We also do a smash-cake series if requested at the one year mark.

Elliot loved sitting in our antique replica claw-foot bathtub which is just baby size. I feel like there should be some baby skin in images at the twelve-month mark. It’s just so natural looking and baby skin is just the most flawless, precious thing, so why not?

Backdrops

I used this variated wood drop with the claw foot tub, it gives a nice contrast to the tub and to baby. Since mom brought in a chambray shirt, I thought that this pale blue damask drop in the second image would work perfectly with that and it gave him an opportunity to show the camera how he can stand up like a big man and not even teeter! I also used a neutral drop with a painted tree and a cream flokita.
