7 Days Old | Kansas City MO

Little Charlie was the first newborn photographed in the new studio.  My clients are really enjoying it.  They having been coming from the other side of Kansas City for newborn portraits, which is so exciting for me!  I am enjoying the 1500 square feet of beautiful space!  It is a little slice of heaven.  I am so very happy with it.  The hardwoods are to die for, I think they are original to the building.  There is an entire room just for props, a viewing and meeting room and two huge shooting rooms. Moving right up stairs was pretty easy!  There was LOTS of painting to do and it seems like I worked on it for most of February.  It was all worth it though.  I am looking forward to having an open house in May and can’t wait.

I love the serenity that can be captured in newborn portraits.  It seems as if when you have a new baby, your whole world just comes to a standstill.  Hours are spent really just slowing down with this new life and time goes by their own clock.  I miss that!  The older children get, the more hectic everyone’s schedule gets and I think we all forget to have a little down time.

Back to Charlie.  He was just the cutest little peanut! He has the sweetest little face. I have a feeling he is busy being one easy-going little dude, I don’t think he even really cried the entire time.  He just chilled out, slept and let me pose him. Lucky mom and dad and lucky ME!  He was quite the dream baby to photograph.
