Meet Beckham at his newborn session | Lees Summit
The Tiny Client
Meet Beckham at his newborn session from Lees Summit. Isn’t his name the cutest? A light sleeper, this tiny little prince needed some cuddling, but I worked with him until he dozed off. Sometimes, a newborn will just try to fight it and needs to be fed (a few times). First, I concentrate on getting baby comfortable and sleepy at the beginning of a newborn session. Next, when a baby is asleep, this is when things get to moving faster and the session begins to flow. Hurry up and wait.. and then some magic happens! Do not stress during your session, as baby will pick up on this. The more relaxed the parents are, the better the session will be, there is a correlation!
Grays and blues were the main colors in the works for this session. Wall arrangements go together easily this way. Think about where you are going to put your portraits. Which room? Do you see a wall print about the crib in the nursery? Does your fireplace need a focal point above the mantle? Imagine your vision. Everything melds well when there is a color scheme and that can often come from where you are going to be placing your prints in your home.
Capturing the Joy
New families in the studio make my heart happy. Seeing the adoration and newness, it is such a joy to be around. Mom and dad are so sweet and I am very grateful they chose the studio for their newborn’s first portraits (as always). Beckham was captured in my Blue Springs, MO photography studio. It lies just next to Lee’s Summit, MO and about 30 minutes from downtown.
***Melissa is a published studio photographer with a boutique studio ten minutes from Lee’s Summit, MO specializing in newborn portraiture.
